Distractions

run off like side roads

Occasionally

the side road leads

in the right direction

But the signs

need to be read carefully

And

if there are no signs

you need to be

careful & wise

so you are not

distracted

from the main purpose

As our stories

            Shift

From fact to fiction

            Time

Allows our diction

            Another

Trance

Vanity of vanities

            Dispels

Our common humanity

            Still

We try to remember

            Stories

That won’t dismember

            Another

            from the op shop.

But clothing for free

Blessings in abundance

Protection, covering, love, support.

The list goes on and on

More clothes than I can wear

New ones to choose each day

Your blessing clothes me!
